Transportation & Travel: A Closer Look
- All Transportation industries have taken a hit and new bookings are virtually at a standstill.
- Urban commute – taxis, ride shares, public transport and parking all have shown a dip across the board in mid March. Parking/ tolls have also decreased but to a lesser extent.
- Taxis which took a hit earlier than ridesharing, continues to be hit worse than the latter. Some Uber drivers are now providing services to UberEats.
- Cruise ship bookings showed the earliest signs of slow down after the Diamond Princess was quarantined off the Japanese coast on 3rd February.
