The Developer Journey

Envestnet | Yodlee today announces the launch of our new Developer Experience website. Our improvements make it easier to learn our APIs and simpler to engage with Envestnet | Yodlee, the company.

Over the past 4 years, we’ve put significant effort into hosting a superior developer experience. We began by opening up the product to more regions. Then we improved our technical documentation and upgraded our server infrastructure. Most recently, we upgraded FastLink (our account onboarding tool) with new capabilities and examples.

The Envestnet | Yodlee Developer Portal now drives a majority of traffic across all Envestnet web-properties. Envestnet | Yodlee is the data aggregator of choice for several top trading platforms, eSport/casinos, cryptocurrency brokers, and boutique financial service providers. Our aggregation API is an established favorite with FinTech start-ups and individual developers, alike.

Building on lessons learned over the years, our team has since doubled-down to redesign the entire site with new/simplified functionality to create a significantly improved Developer Experience. We’ve modernized our content management software while preparing the new portal to support use cases for Enterprise Tier customers which have been suggested in years prior ranging from customer support, regional enhancements, and analytics. In the portal we released, you’ll find the following specific improvements:

  • Streamlined the developer dashboard to position for analytics (on the way)
  • Redesigned page flows for better usability and logged-in experience
  • Improved search capability on the website
  • Added a single screen view of all products and solutions
  • Standardized templates on our ‘Documentation Hub’ to help you explore products in fewer clicks
  • Updated code-base now supports future releases for personalization and product configurations

We will share more blog posts in the future about improvements currently in the planning stage.
