LendIt 2014: Showcasing Leaders in P2P Online Lending

On May 6th, 2014, Joe Polverari, Managing Director of Yodlee Interactive, spoke on the Trends in Credit Underwriting panel at LendIt conference in San Francisco. Feel free to view the video recording here. Moderated by Angela Ceresnie, Founder of Orchard – other speakers included Jeff Knott, Equifax; Mark Ryan, FICO; and Charlie Wise, Transunion. As mentioned during the panel, Yodlee Interactive API provides access to a 360 degree view of consumer transactional data, which helps to avoid bad loans. It was exciting to participate in the largest global conference in online lending, featuring experts from consumer and small business lending, innovative online lending platforms and investors in peer-to-peer (P2P) lending. This Online Lending spectrum by Orchard illustrates the myriad of players in the online lending ecosystem – including originators, data suppliers and platform providers. According to VC Charles Moldow, P2P Lending is expected to hit $1 trillion by 2025. In addition, technologies are driving a new generation of financial services that are more affordable and convenient. For insights on marketplace lending, see Foundation Capital’s presentation: A Trillion Dollar Market. We’re thrilled to support growth in P2P lending by working with innovative companies such as Kabbage, OnDeck Capital, Dealstruck, Merchant Cash and Capital, Tuition.io and Equifax.
